Concern for environmental issues prompted the University of León to create a Degree in Environmental Sciences. The main objective is training of professionals in solving multidisciplinary and global environmental problems both from the perspective of the Engineering and the Experimental Sciences.

It has a specific orientation towards: conservation and management of the environment and natural resources, environmental quality in relation to health, environmental and quality management in companies and public institutions, territorial planning and environmental communication and education.
