This module is designed to provide an understanding of current countryside recreation, non production related farm diversification and land management provision, likely future requirements and the problems and conflicts inherent in the provision of such facilities.
A critical assessment is made of current policy and land management strategies relating to sustainable countryside management.

Emphasis will be placed on developing the knowledge and skills base required to manage countryside recreation and diversification provision efficiently, effectively and in a sustainable manner.
