The course will cover the introduction to main methods of research appropriate to landscape management, protection and preservation, as well as to landscape architecture. The course includes:  review of qualitative techniques (focus groups, interviews);  analysis of qualitative results;  textual analysis;  archive research;  quantitative research (map analysis using GIS, questionnaire surveys);  statistical techniques used in both natural and social science;  literature review sources and techniques;  formulation of research questions;  structuring research outputs (reports, papers, theses);  referencing.
