The course gives an overview about pollutants, introduces their distribution in the environment and the related problems. The basic principles of ecotoxicology are discussed in order to understand the processes in the environment and organisms and the effect of different chemicals in the environment and on to human health. The basic principles of toxicity and ecotoxicity tests are introduced.
